I was just wondering how many of you ladies are changing your name. I know some people change it legally but keep their maiden name for business.
I don't plan on changing my name unless it becomes a hassle (like with banking or anything). My father comes from a long line of only child families (boys for the past 6 generations), and my sisters and I are the last with our name. I don't want to give it up, I want to keep it around as long as possible.
FH is pretty cool about it. His dad is an only child and Fh has no brothers, so he obviously wants to keep his family name going, and understands my desire to keep my family name.

undecided....i always thought I would change it, but i don't really like FH's last name so i might keep my own...
...i feel like when we have children it will be easier if we have the same last name...but i like my name betttter

all my professional documents will have my maiden name but I havent decided whether or not after the wedding I will have my clients call me by my married or maiden name

I can not wait to change it. It is sad that my last name will eventually die out in our family we have so many freckin girls but I really like his last name.

Well, the other problem is that if I change my name I will have the same name as a famous folk singer - which I don't want.
Also - I really won't mind if people call us Mr and Mrs M. But I just don't think I will change it legally.

i don't want to change my name. my reason is kinds of corny. there r no boys in my family and no one will be able to carry over the name so i been thinking of keeping my name

Haven't decided yet. I like my name, but FH's name is shorter and perfect for a teacher. I kind of want to keep it, but FH wants me to take his.

I'm definatly changing it. I'm traditional and I couldn't imagine not taking my husband's name. Plus, I like his last name alot better than mine!

i'm changing it. but it is going to be hard, my last name was one of my nicknames and even thought its long and annoying and no one ever pronounces it right i love it! and fh last name starts with a Z so im gonna be all the way at the end of the alphbet now...
