i like both names, but i like his better. so, legally, i plan to change it.
i was thinking of doing the hypenated thing. my name is only one syllable anyway, so its not like it would be a mouthful to say.

I can tell he really wants me to change my last name to his...I just cant bring myself to do it. Call me selfish, call me childish for my reasoning behind it, I just cant get over some crazy issues and dont want to change my name to his bc of them.

My reasoning is absolute corny, but have to tell you anyway. Remember in school they would sit you or line you based on your last name. Well I would always end up somewhere in the back, since my last name begins with an S. FH's begins with an A, so you know I am thinking of my future kids and how I want them to be first in line or at least in the front.

My family last name will be 'dead' after this...which is sad...but since our kids will have FH's last name anyway what difference does it make??

Oh, my last name starts with a 'W', and I was always the tallest in the class. So, no matter what, I was always last.
FH's name starts with 'M' and is less ethnic, so I will be giving the kids his name.
