Changing your name??

I originally wanted to just add his to the end..

You know..

First name, Middle, Maiden, His

No hyphens just add it on.


When I went to the DMV to get my named changed there (before going to the SS office) they gave me such a hard time. My new middle name was too long. I said no, that's not my new middle name. My last name has two names. She said I'd have to drop my middle name, I said NO, I want my middle name AND those two names. BAH

I gave up. I just took his on.

My middle name is extremely unique and very spanish. It is my aunt's first name. I used to really idolize her. Lately (past 5 years or so) I really am not so in line with her actions and choices.

So I had to choose. My aunt or my Father.

I chose Dad.

My middle name is now my maiden name. I love my family name too much to drop it.

yeah i am changing it to his last name - i will still have the same initials as before though - ajw!

We combine Parts of Both of our last name to form a NEW ONE...So we both have new last names..LOL...Isnt this cool...

Nice Larryswife.....I''ll miss it for sure...it''s so easy and no one believes me when I tell them. It''s funny cuz FH last name is more Jewish than mine is, and he isn''t even Jewish!! (his name is actually mroe Yiddish than anything....)

Without a doubt in my mind I am taking his name. I am ready to trade in my old name and the old me and take my new name with the new life I will be beginning with FH!!!

Yeah I will be taking his name. My orig last name doesn''t have any meaning to me at all. It was my moms last name at the time of my birth.

well this is a trip for me becasue my FH has a Jewish last name could you imagine, but I will be hyphenating

I''m thinking about it...a question for the ladies who aren''t changing it...if you think you will have kids, what will their last names be if their parents have different last names? Just curious...I''m been trying to figure that one out.


I will change my name for that reason! I want to have the same last name as my kids. And I definately would want my kids to have his name..
