what paperwork do I need? I know I need my marriage license..but what else? My passport? I will have my drivers license....anything else?

At DMV - remember to change the title on your car as well - saves you a trip!

I brought my Marriage Certificate to both SS and DMV with the forms from the NYS DMV web site for changing name, and the form from the SS web site all filled out, and it saved time waiting.

No, I just got the forms off the DMV web site. There's a form for changing your name, and one the same form, you also check the box that you're changing the title (so make sure to bring your orginal title in to the DMV b/c they take it and then send you a new one with your new married name - just remember to make a copy of it before you submit incase your car insurance needs it before you get your new one.)

I brought with me my marriage license, driver's license, passport, and SS card. If you are going to change your registration at DMV, you need to bring the title to your car as well.
