I'm thinking about giving a donation to a charity in lou (sp?) of party favors. I'm having about 150 at the wedding. Has anyone seen this done in the past? A card on each table to let them know about it? at each seat? At the guest book? On the seating card? Trying to figure out the classy thing to do ;)
I'm thinking about getting the teeny 'grand piano place card holder's from David's, so I'm thinking about possibly tying in the charity that way - Share the Music would be great. That way there is something tangible as well.

Re: Charity Favors
My friends did a scroll on nice paper at each place setting (or ever other..not sure, but I think it was each) and it was secured by a craft wedding ring

That's really cute :) Did they have a menu at each seat as well?? Maybe I could combine that somehow...

Rayyyyyyy the pianos are super cute!! Are the actual placecards they come with printable? If so, I think you could put it on those....maybe even printed nicely onto the back since there's already stuff going on on the front of it, plus the person's name & table number.
The menu's a good idea too...if your menu is too busy to fit that info, you could prob bundle it with the menu, a little card explaining the donation laying over the larger menu card, and it would look really cute!
I've also read on here that some organizations will provide you with little donation cards.

I liked this way because on the scroll they wrote about the organization and why they chose it.
