just in case any of you guys are from bayside and are or were planning on the dress store charmet on bell blvd, they informed me that theyre closing in may. i dont think theyre telling new people either so i feel it is my duty to spread the word. im kinda screwed bc my wedding is in august so my final fitting will have to be sometime in may.

I wouldn't have them alter your dress if I were you. I'd pick it up and take it to another seamstress for alterations...

well i figured id take it to the place where my BMs are getting theres a month before my wedding and ask them to do any last minute stuff

They told me they were closing at the end of June..since my wedding's in August, as well, I am going to ask the seamstress if she'll do it outside..and let them pay her..I paid for alterations already...

Yike, that's awful. Hopefully the seamstress will help you out.
I'm getting married in August as well and don't plan on going for my first fitting until mid-June -- but I'm also in the process of losing more weight, so I don't want to have to keep going back!

just be careful with yr dress bc it seems they are full of it over there. one lady told me they were closing in sept and then the other lady says may. it makes me very uncomfortable.

I almost got the BM dresses there. Thank God I didn't. They seemed VERY shady to me!!! Good luck to all who bought dresses there.
