I was at my very good friend's wedding this past weekend at chateau briand. and it was absolutely fabulous. i never looked at this RH because i didnt want to have my wedding in the same location (i know i know) but it was absolutely STUNNING. if she wasnt getting married there i most likely would have.
we had cocktail hour in the downstairs room from 6:30-7:30 then had the ceremony upstairs in the saturnia. then went across the hall to the reception room. everything was so beautiful. i wish i could comment on the food but my FH and i had a stomach virus all of friday and part of saturday so we barely ate anything :(

I am getting married there as well we just booked on Saturday. If your friend got married there on Sat I was there when they were setting up. We had to revisit the rooms to make sure that we were making the right choice and I saw that they were setting up for a ceremony in Saturnia. It was beutiful.
WE are having our ceremony first because I know my friends and I don't want them to get drunk before I walk down the aisle..lol....I like that at CB the bridal party gets drinks and food served before the wedding though, so that's just as good.

cocktail hour before the ceremony??
I just went to a wedding in August and the Bride is Jewish and she had her cocktail hour before because she had to get married after sun down (religious purposes) so we had the cocktail hour first then the ceremony then went straight into the reception

Re: chateau briand.
it was a jewish ceremony.....so it might have had something to do with that as far as having the ceremony after cocktail hours. and yes.....there was a bunch of ADULTS (like 50 years old and up) drunk and chit chatting thru the whole ceremony. i almost lost it.
