Hi everyone...sorry I haven't been on in awhile but it has been a crazy few weeks!
So my FH and I thought we were set on an RH but decided to look at one more this weekend and, go figure...we love it! It's clearly become the front runner over WM. I would love to hear your thoughts or opinions on CB...
...and Happy Halloween!!!

Don't want to put a damper on anything but I went there a few months ago for a retirement party and the food was no so great. Very bland - nothing special. And the service was not so great either.

Wow! I'm really shocked at the negative reviews. I haven't heard anything bad about CB. My FH asked just about everyone he could about the place and heard they have great food, great service, great weddings. We almost went with CB and we really didn't think they sales woman was unprofessional at all. I guess we all just have different experiences.
**edited because my laptop just doesn't hit all the buttons sometimes**

I actually went there this weekend. Unfortunatelly I should have known better. My father said even if they offered a price of $10 a person he wouldn't have the reception there. They went to a terrible wedding there. In addition, one of my cousin's BM got married there - and when asked my cousin - she started gagging thinking about it. I tried to go in with an open mind - however.....My FMIL is in the food business and thought that the food choices were bland...also the sales lady we met with was clearly racist and turned me off completely (as if I wasn't already) - telling us that 'they have Mexicans doing the dishes' and the 'Mexicans bussing the tables' - I don't know what in her right mind would allow her to think that this was ok - but she did and I was ready to walk out then and there - and I pretty much did! I would think twice!
I hope I didn't offend anyone....JMO

I got married there on Oct. 9th and the service was EXCELLENT!! Trust me, you will have no worries!
Thanks everyone...for the good and the 'not-so' good! I really appreciate all the input.
I do have to agree with most of you, though - I have yet to really hear a bad thing about it...I am being told left and right that the food is excellent!
I have a feeling this is the place...
PS...and no worries Jess - you didn't offend me!

Re: Château Briand
I got married and had it at Chateau Briand in September. I thought the food and service was great! All my guests were talking about the food. No complaints. Why don't you ask them if you can go and have a tasting when they are having a function and see for yourself? Once you book they do private tastings but if they are having a function going on you maybe you can test some of the food out.

They actually offered us a 'booking upon tasting' which means we can book the date, leave a deposit and then go in for a tasting (supposedly it take a few weeks to set up a tasting). If we are unsatisified with the tasting, we can supposedly get out deposit back.

Not sure how when all of the things really happend like I said its just my opinion I can't change what the sales lady said what my cousin ate what my fmil said or the horrible experience my parents had at the wedding they attennded when all of the guests of 2 weddings were waiting in the lobby because the staff was clueless. What's more offensive is ur use of the word retarted as I have family members that are just that. This board is for people to get the truth which may come in good or bad reviews. Not to bash people foe their opinions....I'm just saying....

I'm guessing the outside area they remodeled a few years ago. I know you can have your ceremony/CH out there...
Again, thank you all for your opinions...and I apologize b/c I didn't mean to start anything. I am open to all opinions and thoughts. This is a very important decision to me and I want to make sure I am making to right one!
