Chateau Briand

What have you guys got quoted from
This venue? We have a Sunday in May and we’re quotes 85(tax and grat included) without food. Seems very steep. What do you guys think?

RE:Chateau Briand

That is actually a normal/low price without food. These days venues are just expensive overall even when food isn't included. Is it at least top shelf liquor for that quote? I was quoted much more from there for a Saturday in July with food. And without food it was still more than 125 on a Saturday. I didn't end up going with them since the location didn't make sense for me with those prices (right off the main road). But.. it is a pretty venue.

RE:Chateau Briand

That's about average w/o food included. I got married last September at Jericho Terrace $100/pp +tax. I believe Chateau Briand gave us a quote for $125. When visiting venues have a list of questions and ask what is included in the price, what vendors will you need to hire outside? Do they have recommended vendors? Will you get a discount for that? Ask about different dates, times, and months of the year. What is the tax and additional fees? Is there any discounts for using in-house vendors and for certain professions(Law Enforcement, Military, EMTs, Education, etc), what other services do they provide that can be included in the bill. I went to several venues on Long Island and the more questions I asked the better i was able to gauge what was best for me and my husband. I went to Chateau Briand, Crest Hollow Country Club, Jericho Terrace, The Inn at New Hyde Park, Chateau Le MEr,

RE:Chateau Briand

LOL that is NOT steep.  That is an amazing price, honestly.

If that's too high for you, consider a Thursday night.  We got married there in May 2017 on a Thursday and paid under $90 for food/bev.  We were able to bring them down on the price for the ceremony space.  What's great is that all the florals are included for the ceremony portion so that saves a bit of money.
