So we went to visit a DJ yesterday and FH really wants lighting as part of our package. I know that the type of lighting one gets can vary and for this reason, I need your opinion.
My question is, for those of you who are or have gotten married in the Chateau Briand (Saturnia room), did you get any lighting and did it make a significant difference?
Do you think that having lightscaping (uplighting) is worth it? The reason I ask is that the walls are wooden and I don't know that it will really make a difference as much as if the walls were white.
For those of you who are not getting married in the CB, what do you think?

Re: Chateau Briand and Lighting-Need Opinons
we had our reception in the saturnia and we only had uplighting/led color kenetics behind our table. imo it didnt make sense to do the entire room only because of all the mirrors.
another 2010 bride who is getting married there next is having uplighting all over that room. maybe you can wait for her pics to get a better idea of what it will look like
Thanks a bunch for the suggestion! I think I have to go visit again and check the room out. I wouldn't want to pay for something that is not going to have the full effect.

Ooooh that sounds reallly nice! The only thing is that I don't think I want to spend the extra money on the draping (although I previously thought about it). I know what great wonders pipe and drape can do for a space since I have done it for some events at work. However, I don't think I want to add that feature as part of my budget.
Nevertheless, doing it is a great idea and I am happy you will be able to accomplish that look! Good luck and thanks!

I am getting married in the Saturnia room next year and we are only having the area directly behind our table uplit.

I'm using the same room, and the colors for my wedding are eggpland and dusty rose. I won a one on one consultation with David Tutera so I run this color with him and mentioned the decor from the room. He actually told me that he doesn't really pay attention to that because during the day of the event, eveything is gonna be put together (center pieces, lights, cake) so that's gonna be the main focus. I hope it helps

If we do uplighting we are only doing it behind the dais. I feel the room doesnt really need the uplighting plus we are getting the white towers from our DJ with the uplighing inside so it will have the same effect.
