Have you yet or when do they talk to you about the add on's? I am waiting for this to come up soon, although I am not getting married till 2004. I would like to get chair covers but I don't know if I can negotiate that now.

I am getting married there also, I had everything put into my contract before I signed it,I amgetting married in 2004 also. I suggest that you go there or call them up and see if you can negoiate now. They seem very accomadating,keep me posted! and good luck!

Add-ons are known as upgrades. Upgrades are discussed (negotiated) at your final appointment, which is two months prior to your wedding date.
You should give The Finishing Touch a call in regards to chair covers. They specialize in chair covers and specialty linens. Ask for MaryAnn (516-827-7433). She does a beautiful job, and her prices are reasonable. They are a Scotto Brothers recommended vendor, so when you go there mention that you are getting married at the Chateau Briand. Thanks for the correction. Now I won't sound like a moron when I bring it up to my BM! Is this normal though to negotiate the other items: chair covers, ice sculptures... after the contract has been signed? My girlfriend booked everything the day she signed her contract. She is having her reception at the Floral Terrace. But I was never given any paperwork on the additional things.
My recommendation would be to negotiate and have them in the contract now. They will give you 2004`s prices which will probably be higher than today`s if you wait until 2 weeks before your wedding. I got married there in February, they wanted more for one of the upgrades, but I had it on my contract already so they had to honor the price.
At least get the quote in the contract this way if you decide to get them you`ll be given that price.
