I asked my BM about adding an extra 30 minutes to my coctail hour because we refuse to see eachother prior. He kept just saying that he is sure it would be fine. It kind of got me annoyed because obviously I'm worried about it. Finally he gave me 3 options-
1- to see FH prior (thanks for the idea SIR but I have told him 439204832 times that is not an option) 2- Take 30 minutes away from reception- not an option for us at all!! 3- Pay 3k for an extra 30 minutes.
Now I am starting to think I def. heard this wrong because I have heard soooooo many people either getting it thrown in for free or paying like 400 dollars for that!! Do any of you have that? I am very concerned and I am hoping I just heard him wrong b/c 3k for 30 min sounds crazy. Hell 1500 for 30 min. sounds crazy??
what you think? Anyone have 1 1/2 coctail hour?

Many RH have a pp price, but 3000 sounds crazy. Its so hard to negotiate once a contract is sing, I hate that part of planning.

3000 dollars seems INSANE... if FH and i decide to add an extra 1/2 hour its a 4.00 per person fee because they do need to keep the food going for extra time... that only totals to about 600 dollars extra so either your BM is trying to scam you or you heard something wrong.. i would definatly double check that!!!

I am hoping I heard it wrong. It quite possibly could be the case because it sounds outrageous!! I emailed them so hopefully I hear back!

I spoke to Dawn at Chateau briand... 400 dollars for the extra 30 minutes. No questions asked. God I could have save the stress the last few months!! I am soooo happy and thankful I spoke to Dawn! She's the best!

That's great news but why did your BM quote you $3k? if he's giving you wrong info, maybe you should consider changing BMs?

Wow - thats awesome! Since the price was so different, I am sure it was a misunderstanding. I wouldnt worry about it too much. I am so glad that everything worked out!
