the place is undergoing some renovations so if you go and look make sure they tell you what they will be changing. It's a very nice place with an amazing view. I've been to a party there, not a wedding, no complaints. Good food and great view. There reasonable on prices. i believe it was around $85-95 for a sat. night wedding in the summer. Hope this helps

Re: Chateau La Mer? Any feedback?
My FMIL got married there about 5 years ago,and people are still raving about it.. saying it was the best wedding they've ever been to.. We were going to get married there, but it's too far west.. the food, and place were fabulous.. I don't think you have anything to worry about..

Re: Chateau La Mer? Any feedback?
We are having our wedding there in November of 2005. We went there almost 8 years ago and have loved it since then! It was the first and only place we looked at when we were choosing a hall...
Prices are very reasonable (we are paying $70 on a Friday night in November), enormous amounts of food (with a lot of selection), beautiful view, excellent service... just great....
If you call, ask for Nick- he is fantastic... No pressure whatsoever, and he is very informative.
It is a wonderful place-- definetly worth looking at! Please, forum mail me if you have any questions! Good luck!

Re: Chateau La Mer? Any feedback?
I went there last month for a work event. I am going again this Thursday (March 11). I'll try to take some pics for you. Here is the FM that I sent MrsWask about the place after I went: Chateau La Mer
Hi! Thursday was my first time at Chateau La Mer. That place is so beautiful! I was there for a meeting of the Long Island Society of Cosmetic Chemists. There were about 80 people. We had a buffet dinner and watched a presentation. The food was: BUFFET DINNER
2 Carving Stations: Roasted Turkey & Baked Ham Chicken Hawaiian Penne Ala Vodka Beef & Broccoli Broccoli Rabe & Sausage Eggplant Rolletini Danish Baby Back Ribs Shrimp Scampi Green Beans Almondine Dessert Soda, Coffee, Tea & Decaf Assorted Pastries & Cookies Soda / Coffee / Tea / Decaf
All of the food was soooo delicious! First let me tell you that I am a picky eater and I really really really loved everything! The baby back ribs were awesome, and I don't usually like ribs. This may also sound weird but the green beans were the best I have ever had! This event was not as 'important' as a wedding but the service was excellent! It seemed like there were only 2 or 3 servers but they did a great job. They quickly removed any dirty plates, folded the napkin and refilled water. They were right on top of things. A man, maybe a manager, also went around to every table and asked how the food and everything was. Overall the place was fantastic and I was very impressed! If you are having your wedding there you have nothing to worry about! I didn't notice any renovations. I took some pictures but they didn't come out good. They had the lights dimmed for the presentation and it was too dark.
