Help Ladies, I've only visited a few places and I'm having such a hard time already. I went to Chateau La Mer on Thursday and really liked it and the price was very good. Today, I went to Crest Hollow Country Club and it was beautiful and the price was just as good. The only deciding factor it seems for me right now is food. I trust your judgement so if there's any way I can be helped, please do...

I've never been in CHCC, but I can def speak about CLM. This place was actually in my top 2. We went for a food tasting and let me tell u that the food is AMAZING! especially the steak called chateau briand and their chilean bass...delicious!!!

Did the tasting at CLM and it was incredible. The food was delicious and even my picky 5 year old soon to be step daughter loved it.

You waited until after you booked to do a food tasting? The problem is that I wanted a tasting before I booked and the banquet manager said I would have to wait about 3 weeks. The place is sooo gorgeous but I don't want to end up not liking the food. I'm VERY picky I know they get booked so fast too!!

I keep hearing the food here is so delicious. This is what is making my choice so tough. Would be different if someone said the food was horrible somewhere

Ok so after careful consideration, my top choice is Crest Hollow!! I just have one more venue to visit tomorrow and I will be able to drop my deposit off at CH. I'm getting more excited by the day...

Had my engagement party at crest hollow.. and was just there for a wedding last night.. If you're choosing based on food, definitely picked CHCC.. they are known for their food, and I've been there for my own e party, several weddings, and several corporate functions in the last 3 yrs and it's alwaysss delicious.. I've been to CLM twice and their food was also good, but I think CHCC wins IMO

I been to a wedding at Chateau La Mer and the food was really good.... I haven't been to Crest Hollow since prom... but I am going there next weekend for a wedding...

Because we fell in luv with The Gardens from Chateau Briand, otherwise we would have booked with CL in a heartbeat

They are both great places! I personally was in love with CLM bec its on the water!! but since I live in Brooklyn and a lot of my guests are not from LI, I did not think it would be fair to make people drive so long.

I love chateau la mer...we booked right away....the food tasting was amazing...and the main ballroom is gorgeous :)
