So I hate to be a pain in the neck on these boards and ask so many questions, but I guess that is what they are for huh? So my FH and I know that we want waterview. We saw and loved CLM and are going to take a look at the venetian this weekend. In your expert opinions, what do you think about these two places? How do they compare as far as food, minimum guarantees, price etc.
Any advice would be great!

I dont know if the menu has changed but they definately do have shrimp. As a matter of fact my guests did not stop raving about the jump stuffed shrimp.
Also, they threw in the chocolate fountain and ice sculpture for free. Just ask.

My fiance's cousin got married at CLM and it was gorgeous. We went to look at VYC and didn't like that all the trim was spray painted gold. We thought that was a bit tacky and overdone. Also they have 2 weddings at a time there and we didn't like that either. But that's just us and we are super picky about our RH. GOod luck with yours though!
VYC doesn't have 2 weddings at a time...it's not possible?!?! I have the whole place to myself there will be no other brides there on my day

OK, here goes. Venetia does do 2 affairs at a time...at Night, during the day it is only one. The lerger room is ABOVE the smaller room.
I visited both places, and am not choosing either. CLM was the first place I looked at and I thought that my search should stop there, but I am glad I kept looking. I went to their food tasting and was not crazy about the food at all.
Venetian was too expensive in my opinion....for what you get! When I walked through ther oom I noticed that the chairs were stained and there are not may options for taking pictures. Also, if you have a daytime wedding, you can see teh parking lot to the left, and I was not crazy about that.
Just my opinions though...I am booking at Villa Lombardi's. Good Luck

I'm not sure about CLM but I recently went to an affair at the other place you are looking at and it was a total disaster! I mean it was a saturday night and I know what my friend payed a head.... The food was terrible......especially the sea food it was cold and some of it was raw when it was not supposed to be!
They booked two parties too close together so that made my friends affair very late!
I had a mini review of the evening but I can't seem to find it.
did you try the cresecent beach club also?

I went to CLM yesterday and was supposed to go to VYC today but ended up not going. My FH's fam is from NJ and he has 120 people coming from NJ, it's not fair for them to drive 3 hours to get to our wedding.

It really depends what you want though. My FH family is all in the restaurant industry so they would know that we didn't pay much and would be offended b/c of the envelopes and the drive!
Also, there is a cracked window on the ceiling that they said they were not sure would be fixed by the time we had our wedding. If I'm giving a hall 30,000.00 I better have a spotless perfect hall! JMHO.
