Re: Chatue Briand VS Sand Castle
who cares about the carpet in all honesty I think your making a bigger deal over the carpet then it really needs to be. Noone will notice the carpet when the room is completly set up.

Re: Chatue Briand VS Sand Castle
I was just there last night with my friend and I thought it was gorgeous, she's considering it for her wedding even though the price was a bit higher than we both thought it would be...I do agree...the carpet in the Saturnia room was a little questionable but no one's going to even notice that when the place is packed!
Here are a few pictures I took while I was there...their Christmas decorations are insane!
yea the ball room in my opinion needs updating that is where I am going to be most of my night and want to be totally in love with it.. and that I am not.. the outside and everything else is totally amazing.. that I would have to say..
and I didnt book I reserved a date I have not signed anything..

If you aren't in love with it, then don't book it. It's that simple. There are so many places to choose from.

I booked with the SC, found then to be a little more costly but so far worth it. I will let you know after April.

Re: Chatue Briand VS Sand Castle
Have you seen Saturnia with 12-14 tables? You cannot see the red/yellow swirl design in the carpet. Although the red and yellow swirl is large, it is in the center of the carpeted area, which gets almost completely covered by tables. When the room is full with tables, all you really see is solid navy blue. This is something I actually appreciated about the Saturnia. The carpet is no where near as bad as some I have seen at other halls. I found the Saturnia's carpet to be the least overwhelming.
The Saturnia is going to be updated after the holidays. The wooden walls around the room are going to be 'lightened up' to look something like it currently does behind the sweetheart table. They are also installing curtains along the mirrored walls so that uplighting can be used. If you prefer the mirrors, the curtains can be pulled aside. It sounds like they are going for a lighter/more neutral look. I cannot wait to see it when it's done!!

I hope they change the back of the sweetheart table. I mean it looks really nice but it's hard to match with colors othen than silver, ivory, and gold. My colors are eggplant and dusty rose.

Tom said that was being updated to neutral colors as well
He also said that they are going to install the track lighting thats like in the normady and divinci rooms
