CHCC girls

if you are talking about j and R i herd the same thing. Pedestals is amazing and the price that i got from them was only about 300 off what i thought i was going to spend. I am also going to go take a look at FBB i herd they are a little cheaper.

There are also things you can do to make things cheaper, like the guy at Pedestals said that if we wanted to do everything in just roses and hydrangea it would be significantly cheaper.

CHCC seems to speak highly of JNR but I read many negatives about them. Also, when I initially met with them, I met with the woman, I found a stand for my high centerpieces that I really liked..when the woman was giving me my price she was telling me she was gonna wave the rental fee because they rent the stand from a different company, yet when jack came out to meet with us he told us he owns the stands and that he actually designed the stand I wanted..Nothing seripous but I dont like being lied to over something so stupid.

Im going to meet with pedestals, flowers by brian , and Gina.

but ive only heard bad things about JNR

Back when I booked, you could use any florist, but I've heard that has changed. That being said, when I initially booked, my BM told us not to use JNR but when I went back this summer, he said they did good work. Not sure what that is about, but i'm not using any of the recommended florists anyway.

BTW Lisa which spitz and peck location are you going to ? i was going to go to the one in cederhurst bc the guy i meet at a show usually works out of there. I dont remember his name but he looks a little like a really skinny pee wee herman.

I'm using Pedestals and don't think they are very pricey. You may find cheaper if you didn't have to use house florists but Pedestals has a great reputation and I feel that the employees really care about their work. Flowers by Brian is very similarly priced. I didn't look at JNR b/c of his repution. Spitz and Peck and Flers di Florissima are pricey (though I didn't visit them).

Thanks Girls.. I don't know how far in advance I should start checking out flowers? I still have about a year and a half.

I'm definitely staying away from ***. I wonder if perhaps they are giving CHCC a large profit or something, and thats why they are suggesting them. My FH can't believe CHCC is backing this kind of company that is getting such bad reviews!

my BM is Leo and the guy from JNR seems to know him really well and he said that he did Leo's brother and sisters weddings. so they may have jsut been working together for a long time.

Another Idea for anyone on a budget is to get your personals from a cheaper florist and get the CP from the approve ones. ( unfortunatly its the cp that cost the most)

i was just at the chcc to pick out menu etc and they were pusing j and r like a mofo!
i went with a florist outside their suggestions bc my florist is my friend and she's giving me flowers at wholesale. i said eff that im not goin with any of ur florists!
i dont think i woulda chose j and r anyways, i wasnt impressed by anything on their website. and with an F rating on the BBB i wouldnt book em.....

I went to the one in Huntington today and they really weren't that helpful. They didn't have any flowers out AT ALL and they couldn't put anything together for me to see - only pictures.

And btw, their pricing came in $2200 more than FBB and Pedestals for the same thing. At least for what I'm planning on getting.

But definitely worth going - you never know!

I would make sure you could go with your outside florist. The contract I signed with CHCC says that you MUST use one of their florists...
