Hi. I´ve found some places that look really nice with reasonable prices. However, in looking through my guest list I realized that there are so many people from out of town (or even out of the country) that I think realistically I will only get about 65 people. Once I realized that I called back some of the places I originally contacted and most cannot help me for that low a number. Can anyone recommend a place that has good prices but can accomodate such a small number? I am currently living in South America so I´m planning this basically over the phone or internet so it´´s a little difficult. I found the following so far. if you´ve been to one of these places it would be great to hear your thoughts:
Miller Place Inn Pine Hollow Inn
Thanks for your help.

You might want to look into having it at a restaurant instead of a reception hall...most places will not accommidate such a small amount of people

Try Westbury Manor. They allowed us a minimum of 75 when we first started planning. If you go for an off day like a Thursday night they may work with you on the minimum.

How about an afternoon wedding, sometimes venues are willing to accomodate for an afternoon wedding and it will be cheaper.

I've been to both. Pine Hollow is ok, personally, not a fan of the location. MPI is nice, I think you would have a better opportunity for pictures here, they have nice gardens. Food is pretty good as well.

I am having the same problem since I am planning on having the same amount of people. I have called everywhere. Fox Hollow, Bridgeview Yacht Club, Crest Hollow, Fountainhead (New Rochelle), Villa Barone (Bronx), the only place that will do 50-60 and will even do it on a Saturday night, is Verdi's of Westbury. Verdi's of Whitestone, will also, expect they do not have a bridal suite or any place to take pics. Alot of the places that say they will do 50 (Fox Hollow, Jerrico Terrace, Bridgeview) will only do it if you have a wedding on a Sunday afternoon. And some wont book you until closer to 2010(when they know they cant book a bigger party). You could also try Douglaston Manor. I think it is nice there. They will do 50-60. You could also try Roma View in Howard Beach if you are willing to do a Friday or Sunday, spoke to them last night.

Verdi's of westbury has two bridal suites and verdi's of whitestone is having one built for next year. you are correct that there isn't a big space to take pics... well I know the one in westbury has a small gazebo and a small waterfall..
but for a great price, great food, and great service you can't go wrong!

I have been to both Pine Hollw and Miller Place in also. I agree with Christine. Pine Hollow is not a favorite of mine personally. The Miller Place in though is very nice and has great food. That was my sister's second choice in RH when she got married.
