ok, so last night i was talking with my fh about money, my parents are paying for 150 people anything after that is in hands, along with everthing else, so i was wondering if he knew what his parents were going to give us for the wedding since i would prefer them to pay for something, like the flowers or photos, so he said he didnt know, why do i ask? so i told him that the video and photos i have been seeing are around $3000-4000, and he said that he was not paying that much for pictures and video! he was not joking, how am i going to get someone cheaper then $3000 to do both and a good job? please help

Yes, he needs to meet with the photographers...etc..he is under the impression that he can get away cheap for this wedding. He is in for a shock. Let him do the leg work if he thinks he an do better.

You should offer that one of your friends will take the pics for practically nothing...see what he says for a laugh. Let us know.

Yeah that's some good avice.. take him with you to see how much everything costs. They are clueless sometimes!!

I agree, or tell him if he can find a photographer/videographer for cheaper you will be glad to go meet with them.

I bet he will be too lazy to even do the research

Why don't you take your FH along to meet w/ the photogs/videogs? This way he can see for himself just how much it costs. My FH was a bit in shock in the beginning. But he's since gotten over it.

My FH was the same way at first about the photography, then after he saw that they were all about the same he realized he was being ridiculous, I totally agree, take him around a few places and he will see for himself

Try to get information on Jeffrey Studios in Nesconset. They be a little less, but I don't think you will find anything less than that for both.

I agree, sometimes they need to be told by professional and to see their work to really i=understand. I am going through the same thing right now, he just doesn't get it

great advice, Jas didn't believe that a photographer can cost $4,000, so he called a friend in Manhattan ,who was recently married. When this friend told him that he pd, $6500.00 only b/c they know the person, FH didn't doubt me again

i agree!!! definately drag him along to see the vendors and see if he can haggle them down $ ! i'd like to see that!
