Exactly!! If there are issues serious enough for you to think about stepping out, and you couldnt come to be to resolve them first then I'd definately not be able to trust you. I'd rather walk away from a relationship than seek another one.

ummm...
probably not. but i think it would depend on the situation as well.
i mean, what does it mean when you attempt to cheat but don't go through with it?
and how did she find out? if he told her and was all up front and they realize they need to work some stuff out...
then maybe they can salvage the relationship.

if it was like it was in the Pina Colada song... no way in hell. Although...they were both attempting to cheat.

Re: cheaters

Its easy to say NO rt away I know I would but...when you're actually IN the situation its very difficult. I know b/c we went throught this w/a FH's cousin got 'cheated' on and he found out 10 days before their wedding!! He actually forgave her (I DON'T know HOW) but its very hard to understand they went to consuling w/their priest and signed a pre nup plus she cheated on him not only once she had an AFFAIR w/a married man. So its really difficult for someone outside of the picture to understand how ANY one could forgive...but some do...

Re: cheaters

sorry to be crashing... but you really dunno how you would act unless you were actually put in the situation.... For me, I'd have to know the circumstances... I'd like to know why he didnt go through with it first and base it on that...

if he was thinking about it and decided not to and TOLD me about it...i think i would still trust him. i don't know if i'd still go through w the wedding though...we'd have to go to therapy together or something and work on our relationship. but i would appreciate the fact that he told me and that he didn't go through w it, and that alone would keep my trust.

but it would upset me for a very long time and i don't think i'd ever really get over it.

that's tough, i'm so sorry to hear she's going through this!!

No way - if he was thinking about it, that would be all I needed to know.

No way! If he is thinking of cheating then there is a problem. Even if he comes to his senses- he still thought about it.

I think thinking about it is different than actually doing it. I hope fh never thinks about it but if he was honest enough to tell me that he almost did, weel then that should count for something

Re: cheaters

this is a hard topic bc i dont think that there would be that much trust left in the relationship.. I almost think its worse than getting caught in the act bc now hes in trouble and in his eyes he hasnt done anything yet.. ive heard guys say if im being treated liek i did it why not do it .. so its a scary thing. and if they stay together hopefully there will be the chance of having a trusting relationship

Re: cheaters

What do you mean by attempted to cheat? Sounds like a drug bust with an undercover cop -- did her friends set him up and he went for it?

It's hard to say for sure what you would do unless you have been put in that situation. My first boyfriend in college cheated on me and first I didn't believe my friends when they said they saw him kissing another girl. You just want to believe waht you want to believe.

It happened again, and this time there was picture proof, and he admitted it. He said he was really drunk and didn't even know what he was doing, was soooooooooooo sorry would never do it again and would i please please forgive him?

I did. I shouldn't have.

I finally dumped his *** after going out to dinner with my girls and running into him with another girl at the same restaurant!!!

That was just a bf of 7 or 8 months, not my FH. I'd like to believe I learned my lesson, but if it really was a 1 time thing or not even actually cheating, I'd probably give Mike a second chance. Depends on the circumstances though...

Im trying to picture someone attempting to cheat lol. I would really have to be in the situation to know what I would do. If I could forgive, Id probably end up being so bitter about it anyway. I dunno, its a scary thought.

Re: cheaters

never ever ever unless it was something like on desperate housewives when brie's husband was given sleeping pills and viagra and he was raped. Other than that there is no excuse for cheating!
