I got engaged in August and I've been so bad, I haven't insured my ring
Mainly because I don't own a home and I didn't have a renter's insurance policy, so I had nothing to add it on to... and I couldn't find anyone who would insure the ring on it's own. FH got the ring designed in the diamond district and they didn't offer insurance through the store.
I had called my auto insurance company a few months ago and they wanted $500 a year, paid UP FRONT which is expensive for renter's insurance and ridiculous.
SO, I used today to call All State (State Farm didn't answer) and I purchased a renter's policy with full coverage for my e-ring!!! WOO HOO!! FH will be so proud!

I DO feel better now!
And I really needed the renter's insurance anyway... I always see stories on the news about fires and I'm like What if that was me? What would I do? I have NO MONEY! lol, so it's definitely a relief!

thats greatttt!!! I was the SAME exact way! We didn't have renters ins either, then we had an emergency drill one night - luckily it was just a false alarm - but it freaked me out. It feels so much better once everything's insured!

Thats great! Do you mind sharing how much you are paying? I have allstate for auto insurance and was conisdering getting renters insurance with them, and cover my ring under that.
