and I hate Riviera, called to set up tastings and they told me I've been booked too long and can't do a tasting! so angry, wish I could cancel.

That stinks. I think you have every right to do a tasting still. I have not done a tasting at WM yet but I think we go 3 months before. In any event you are paying them thousands of dollars and I think you should be entitled to it. They aren't losing anything but by them acting this way I'm sure they could lose. I would call back and speak to the owner of the Riviera and be like well if that's the case and you don't want to work with me I can just imagine how my wedding day will be and that you will take your business elsewhere. A little threat doesn't always hurt.

Congrats! Did you end up doing it at mens warehouse? And i'm so sorry to hear about your venue...it really doesn't make any sense why they wouldnt give you a tasting...especially since they offer tastings!

I did end up doing men's warehouse.
and I am really upset with the venue. This is the first thing to come up but I think it's ridiculous that we have to just wing a whole menu. When I called for the tasting I also found out my BM no longer works there which I thought should have been mentioned. I also asked about the tastings two weeks ago through email that no one ever responded about.

Congrats on the tux check! I would really try talking to them again about the tasting. Thats pretty crazy. Venue is the most important and expensive thing in a wedding, I don't see why you cant taste the food!!
