1 hour 45 minutes to get to work...I had to take about 5 detours and drove through water on Southern State at exit 38 about 2 1/2 feet deep and almost had a heart attack thinking that my car is going to just die and I'm gonna be trapped.....half of 110 is closed off and/or in stand still traffic.

All this to get to work today at a FURNITURE store...who in their right mind will be buying furniture today??

LIRR had 30 minute delays when I was heading in to work. There was water pouring into the subway at Times Square. It was NOT a day to come to work! I would have much prefered staying in my bed!

I did!!! But it took an hour to get to work and I leave about 15 min away.


I took sunrise to 109 to pinelawn which is a straight drive to my office (since it is on pinelawn). it normally takes 15 min with traffic...NO NOT TODAY


and some jack@$$ cut me off and almost hit my car. if he did someone would have to be bailing me out of jail right now because i would have been swinging at him...

but seriously in the tyrannical downpour who uses NO BLINKER and comes into your lane when you have about 7-10 feet in between you and the car in front of you to just get into the turning lane. I MEAN COME ON you knew you had to turn hear before it came up so why not get into the lane at a more convenient time @$$hole

I got in okay, thankfully I got here before the rain started, but what furniture store do you work in? My sister is looking for furniture now for her new apartment!

FH and i got stuck in an hour of traffic, the grand central was flooded, then finally got to the train i had to take it was ok but when i got off downtown it was pouring so hard that i get SOAKED!!!! and i mean my hair looked like i just got out of the shower, my clothes were soaked too...infact i had to run across the street to buy clothes bc they werent gonna dry up anytime soon.

I got in at 9:00.

I pretty much had to swim to the front door of my job, the water was up to my knees. My jeans are soaked and I'm cold and annoyed. grrrrrr.

But I DO think it's kinda funny.

I got in ok - my drive wasn't too bad because I work 5 minutes from home but I'm drenched!!!! And I dropped my cell phone into a puddle while trying to move all the garbage cans that were being pushed up against my car by the river that was once my street.....UGH

i was driving right when it got really bad i hit not traffic i guess because everyone was waiting for the strom to past ... did get pretty wet walking into my office ... it took my mom an hour to get here when it normally takes her 15 mins ...theres traffic everywere!!!

Someone here said there was a car flipped on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa across from Ciao Baby...anyone see that?

I just spoke to my mom..... she said there was a Tornado in Sayville, and that Belmont Lake flooded onto Southern State..... and it is closed.

i got in ON TIME usully my commute takes about 25 mins, maybe 30 mins today

an hour and a half and drenched but alive! Thank god I have a blow dryer at work and a change of pants and shoes. I prepare for days where god should have told noah to build another ark

A normal 25 minute drive took me about an hour and a half. But I’m finally here now! Only to find that the building was hit by lightning this morning and most of our equipment is fried. Fun!

It took me an hour to get to work and it normally takes me 5 minutes !! thankfully Fh drove me because I dont do well in traffic like this!!
