check! mmm cake

so since I always knew I wanted an awesome not your typical looking wedding cake we did our tasting today with Pink cake box in NJ and booked them. mmm cake. was so yummy. our cake is gonna be an awesome looking topsy turvy cake I can't wait. I'm now trying to figure out my shower cake to get through her also. she was definitely reasonably priced and I really just cannot wait to see how it turns out.

I have such plain taste in cake and I feel like FH isn't going to want a 'simple' flavor, so this may actually be the thing we argue about!

I'm the same way I just wanted chocolate with vanilla lol. fh was like in love with hazelnut so I let him have that in one of the tiers. there was something else he liked too but I was like nah that's enough for you lol.

we are gonna have a purple/dark purple/light blue topsy turvy kind of cake. with some snowflakes on there, along with stripes, etc. I wanted mostly purple but I figured should throw in blue so it's more of a wedding cake lol. instead of just for me I can't wait to see it. all we saw was a sketch. and each layer is a different flavor. they seem to do an awesome job so I can't wait to see how it comes out. I'm gonna get my shower cake from there too like a bunch of gift boxes on top of each other.

We are going to Francesca's Bakery in Hicksville. Westbury Manor outsources to them. (Cake is included when booked)

Our RH provides us with a cake, but after seeing these cakes I think I want to change that! My FH said maybe they can throw something else in to make up for the price of the cake that I now want from this bakery. Did they charge you for travelling if you don't mind me asking?

Haven't gone yet but they WILL NOT be charging me for that. They said this is what they provide so it is up to them to get it there at NO cost to me. There are additional fees for different things though. When I called he let me know what is included and what is not.

yes they charge $225 to bring it to fox hollow which seems fair to me since they are in NJ.

We went, and it was great to sample all of the cocktail hour food! There were a few vendors there and we still need to book a lot so it was great for us to talk to vendors they partner with. I wish we were able to mingle with more couples but everyone seemed older than us and brought their parents so it was tough. Plus we didn't win any raffles... I have terrible luck!

I just booked my shower cake thru them too. shipping is more in May then January so I guess it changes throughout the year.
