This is my second project... I kind of need help with this one...
First picture is what I was trying to copy. Second picture is mine. I wanted to personalize it with my wedding colors and a monogram. The problem is, the hole is really hard to cut. I got some hole cutting device, but it's hard to use. I think that if I eliminate the whole and just tie the bell onto the card using a hole puncher I can condense the size of the card and move the poem up.
Trisha...Those are so cute!!! I wish I was crafty...
I think make the bell cards alittle smaller....JM0

Re: Check out My DIY Projects.....
There is a special cutting mat that is supposed to make the circle cutting easier. Every time I try to cut a circle when the poem was up higher I cut out part of the poem. Maybe if I buy the mat it will help. Thanks

Trisha, they came out wonderful!!!! Where did you get the sticks for the wands? You have to tell me how you made them. I want to make them too, but I dont know how!!

Re: Check out My DIY Projects.....
OMG they were so easy...I got wodden dowels and some ribbon from AC moore (got to love my brother's 20% discount) Then I sawed them in half. I lined a milk crate with paper towel and laid the two sticks in it. Then I sprayed them with a primer and a high gloss white spray paint. I got end caps for wire shelving in Home Depot in the storage dept. I got the bells at Franks on sale (they are closed now) but you can get them at AC Moore also.
(NOTE: this is where it got tricky... the pack of caps came with 2 different sizes 4 large, 11 small, I was cheap and just bought 7 packs, I went to AC moore, opened the packs and fitted them to the wodden dowels, I got some smaller dowels and some larger. I could have just bought more packs and thrown out the larger ones and only made one size... but I like to make life difficult)
Anyway, I waited for the sticks to dry and I cut some lengths of ribbon, I also cut the ribbon loop on the bells a little shorter and cut off the knot. I held them all on the end of the stick and slipped on the cap.
DONE......

Re: Check out My DIY Projects.....
do the bells make a good sound? I bought some bells and they hardly make any noise at all! I am making ribbon wands, too...Home Depot also sells wooden dowels really cheap....I think the were 40 cents each and I cut them into 3 16' wands per dowel....they were really long.....

Any time my dear
I fixed the wedding bell cards for the table.... I think they look a lot better now.. I just needed to walk away. I got this FisKars circle cutter and it was really frustrating me but I seem to have gotton it right. Now I need to go buy a hole puncher to make holes to run the ribbon through so that looks a little nicer.
