I went to check out both of these places and now I feel like I am more confused than ever. Both of them are beautiful.
Giogios was amazingly beautiful. The place was gorgeous on the inside. They had plenty of huge windows, chandeliers, a huge staircase...everything looked very elegant. From the room you can see a beautiful golf course and some gardens. It's really beautiful. However, I really wanted to be able to see water from my reception room. They do have their own private beach that they take you to for pictures, its VERY pretty..but you can't see it from your room. It's REALLY far out on long island. It's actually a very pretty area. You drive through a lot of fields to get there. They seemed to be really on the ball about things and they go on and on about how impressive their cocktail hour is. Actually, they are having a showcase with a complete cocktail hour on Nov 18th. I definatly want to go. I've heard nothing but great reviews about this place. If I could see the water from the reception room I most likely would be booking this place. I'm just still up in the air. I just wanted to add too that Gorgio, when me and my mother mentioned that we love chocolate, he gave us a whole box to take home. He was really nice. However, he didn't seem like he wanted to throw in anything or really work with us when I asked him about ice sculptures and wedding cakes, etc... A cake is included by they are pretty plain. He said they can do anything you want for more $$, of course! They also told me that they are buying a part of the golf course right next to them to add more gardens on to their property, it should be really pretty.
Louis XVI, is just how I imagined it would be. The room is like my dream come true. It's beautiful. There's special details everywhere. The ocean is just glistening through the room. It's picture-perfect. I absolutely love the windows and the mirrors. But, they don't seem to have many weddings and I can't find many reviews. It doesn't seem like they have an abundance of food like the other halls offer and I don't know how great their service will be. I wish so badly I could find more reviews on this place. If I felt confident that they had amazing food and service I would have booked this place immediatly. I do have to say that the man I met with was one of the sweetest people I have met. He spent so much time with us and told us we can change the menu anyway we want to accomodate us and our guests. It was more like talking to a friend than a businessman. He said anything that you invision is just a phone call away, we can make anything happen. He said your part is to dream it, once you tell us what you want, we can make it happen. He did give me an menu, but he said that they can make anything that I want and they like to customize it so its perfect your YOU and the wedding you had wanted. Which is great on one hand, but makes me a little unsure on the other. I'm just scared they aren't as experienced as other wedding halls, but I don't know that for sure..it's just something I'm coming up with beings theres not many reviews on here for it. But just going by how it looks, and how accomadating he makes it sounds..it's perfect.
I definatly recommend going to see both of these places. They truly are beautiful. I'm so confused!!!!!!!!!
If anyone has any more specific questions don't hesitate to ask.
xOx!!

Re: Checked Out Giorgios & Louis XVI
i've heart great things about louis xvi as a restaurant (nothing wedding-specific). what i usually hear when people talk about it is how expensive it is.
