My poor friend/collegues wedding was nearly appoaching (its in two weeks). Due to unfortunate events her love of her life was in an accident and had past away in November. She has gotten some way thru this greif with the help of higher powers. But I have lunch with her and she asks me every weekend to get together (and we do) we have gotten VERY close since her recent tragedy and she is so hurt by even the look of a calander. I am very concerned for her and she is concerned for herself. She has been to many greiving couselors etc, but I want to do something for her that day to maybe make it not as bad as you would think it would be. Her family are workaholics like her and would be NO help! She is not working that day either.
Any Suggestions???? My poor friend :(((((
TIA

Re: Cheering up a bride if possible..
Reading this made me tear up...I cannot imagine what she is going through. Knowing she has such a good and dependent friend like you, gives me hope that with time and the right people to support her, she will get through this.
I don't think anything will truly get her mind off, so when I think of things in my head, I shoot them down- as I am sure you have been doing the same thing. Have you asked her if she wants to do anything in particular? What about attending mass? Is she religious? When I lost my grandparents, I felt the best there.
