cheesy or cool
thanks to everyone who responded!! editing my post to not ask for opinions anymore, since I ordered them already and can't change my mind anyway! I appreciate all the feedback, and I'll post a pic for the few who were interested when I get them, thanks!

Re: cheesy or cool
I really like the idea...I would do it. I don't think it's tacky at all, being that they won't be on the tables. It's a cute little good-bye gift, and if someone doesn't want it, they won't take it. (And you can give the extras to us!!!)...

Re: cheesy or cool
I'm so glad that was the first response, I had my fingers crossed! I think probably most people will get a kick out of it, and I know I am always searching for one of those things in the summer! I made sure to put no hearts or frilly stuff on them as to not turn off the guys! Please more opinions, thanks!

Re: cheesy or cool
well.. I honestly think you should do whatever YOU think is kewl and not worry so much about what anyone else thinks. Its a cute idea.. It seems as though you are second guessing yourself and thats the only reason why I think you should reconsider.
If you KNOW you love it.. go for it.
I dont think any gift is cheesy.

Re: cheesy or cool
my first instinct was that it was cool, but now I'm second guessing - one second I think it's fun and different, and then next I don't. ugh.

Re: cheesy or cool
not a big fan - its a cute idea but doesn't seem appropriate for a wedding. Maybe you can use them as favors for your rehersal dinner or brunch (if you're having either)

Re: cheesy or cool
I THINK IT ALL DEPENDS OF THE CROWD YOU HAVE.. I KNOW THAT MY FRIENDS WOULD ALL LOVE IT, I GO TO JOHN JAY FOR GRADUATE SCHOOL AND I BOUGHT SOME AT THE BOOKSTORE AND I KNOW MY FH FRIENDS ALWAYS FIGHT OVER WHO WILL GET TO USE ONE, THAT IS WHY ( I THINK) WE ARE ACTUALLY GETTING THE GM THE SILVER PLATED KOOZY'S

Re: cheesy or cool
I think it is fine...it really has to go with your personality and the type of wedding you are having....plus it is on the way out..not like in the middle of your table.I say if you like it go for it. I would think it was cute and different.

Re: cheesy or cool
If you like it why not but in my opinion I think theres alot more out there that would compliment the wedding a tad bit better.

Re: cheesy or cool
It's a different idea but I don't think it's too appropriate for a wedding, JMHO.

Re: cheesy or cool
Sorry to say, I'm not too crazy about the idea.I wouldn't mind if I received it, but I wouldnt think it was the most appropriate favor for the occasion. If you're 2nd guessing, don't do it.

Re: cheesy or cool
thanks so much for all the opinions! I am going ahead with it, but I do see all your points! It is not the favor, I spent a lot of time making pretty favors and wrapping them in tulle with ribbon and all that. They go with the color scheme and will be on the tables. After the cake is cut, they are going to put these out on a table near the door, (the exit to the building, not the door of the actual wedding room ) in a big basket. They aren't meant to be a favor, more of a fun keepsake, I'm sure the young party people will get a kick out of it, and if someone doesn't want one they just wont take it. I don't think if I do it this way it will retract from the wedding - at least I hope not! Thanks again for all your help!Welcome New Vendors
