I think we are both using the same one! ;) TP? I really want to do mine at the Vanderbuilt or Hempstead House but I have travel time/ grounds issues with both so Chelsa Mansion may work for me

Yes! I am using him as well. I wanted Hempstead House but timing won't be right for me. So Chelsea Mansion it is, plus I've seen his pictures from there they are just as nice.

I just looked on the website and it gives absolutely ZERO information. You may want to give them a call (516) 571-8551. They offer indoor and outdoor right?

Yeah. I saw the number, I just wanted to know what to expect when calling. I hate calling and not knowing what to expect.Yes, we are looking for the indoor aspect since we are getting married in December.

Re: Chelsea Mansion?
Can you share with us any information you get!I was looking into them because I thin pics there are beautiful, but I read somewhere on here that they can cancel your reservations if they end up having a weddng there that day. Not sure if that's true or not. Just what I read.

Alright, I just tried calling again. I got through to a receptionist. Its pretty easy! They will send you a form to fill out for a photo permit. The cost is $350 for 3 hours. Once you fill out the form and send the $, you are good to go!

do you need it for 3 hours though? I think TP said he usually only takes an hour to an hour and a half. I wonder if they would lower it for a smaller amount of time

It sounds silly to pay $350 for 3 hours when you only need it for 1/4 maybe 1/2 of that! Right?

Yeah, it does seem silly. TP said we only need it for max 2 hours. I am going to call tomorrow and find out if we can pay for 2 hours.

Re: Chelsea Mansion?
i stopped in there over the weekend and they happened to be there for a tour and the process is no more than 3 months before your wedding you can fill out a nassau county parks permit for pictures...fee is 350 and you aren't allowed to have like more than 20ish people on the property...i believe you get it for 3 hrs...

Chelsea Mansion?
Hi ladies, sorry to crash the convo but I also just called Chelsea Mansion and got the same info as you. I'm also using TP as my photographer and that's how I heard about it. I'm a little worried about waiting 3 months before my wedding to book my place for pictures. The Vanderbilt told me they couldn't book until 5-6 weeks before the date!
