Chemical Peel Vs. Micro Dermabrasion

Has anyone had both of these procedure done?
Which of the two gave you the best result?
Pro's or Con's for either?

The question is why are you doing it? What do you hope to achieve.

The results of both are temporary. You need to go every month. They both exfoliate.

Actually, I just bought the L'Oreal Microdermabrasion at home system and I love it!!! It has really cleared my skin up - I recommend it...you use it a few times a week, and it is much cheaper than going to a spa all the time. I also really love the lotion that comes with the package - it is very moisturizing.

I've seen horrible results on people from chemical peels (I work @ a Spa & they come to have the Estheticians try & repair some of the damage that was caused by the peels). They looked like burn victims.
Perhaps if you go to someone who is highly recommended by others, you wouldn't have this problem, but IMO, it's a bit invasive.

A chemical peel is different than a glycolic peel.

Oh absolutely, but she asked about Chemical Peels.

Thank you for the replies! I realize by the answers that I meant a Glycolic Peel, just the surface kind as opposed to the chemical ones.

I have some dark pigments on my skin, and am hoping to be able to have them at least lighten a little so I don't have to use foundation, especially in the summer.
Any recommendations?
