Re: Chemical Pregnancy?

a chemical pregnancy is a very early misscarriage. I read somewhere that it is believed that up to 40% of all pregnancies end as a chemical pregnancy. Many times a chemical pregnancy happens before a woman even misses her period.
Years ago people had no idea and just thought that they were having a heavy or more crampy than normal period. Today, with HPTs becoming more sensitive combined with more women testing before they miss thier period it is becoming more widely known.

My SIL had one about 4 years ago, and they dont even count it as a miscarriage. To them its basically as if hte pregnancy almost took but not quite! She later had 2 more miscarriages, but they dont count the chemical pregnancy at all!

My dr. did not take them seriously at first either, but after 5 he now has me going in for a bazillion tests. If you have a recurring problem I would def. seek medical help.

I was wondering what this was too! Thank you for asking, it is a lot clearer now. I wonder why the doctor wouldnt take it seriously... I would think a miscarriage, no matter how far along it was... is something a doctor should look into!

Also, some women don't even know they were pregnant because when they miscarry it is about the same time their period is due.
