hello. I am going with my mom to shop for my Cheong sham. Anyone have suggestions for a good place ...not too expensive but beautifully made? Also, what is the approx. cost of one? Thanks.
My mom got her dress for my brother's wedding at the store on the corner of Mott & Pell. They make cheong shams there.

I bought my Cheong sam at the store in NYC Chinatown on the corner of Mott and Pell. The dresses are not cheap, especially since they are custom made. I think they start at $500 and go up from there. If you don't want to spend a lot, there are several stores in Chinatown that will rent them to you for a day. FM me if you have any questions and good luck!

Thanks. Actually, I know exactly the store you are talking about. My parents and grandparents and i used to dim sum at a restaurant around the corner from that dressmaker. I always used to look in the window there.
Anyone else know another dressmaker?
