Chick Flicks

Original post by Katherine121

What is your favorite 'chick flick' and why? I've watched all my 'chick flicks' several times and I'm looking for a new one to buy.

Steel Magnolias. I did the play when I was 17 with my really close friends and that movie just reminds me of those close friendships that I still have and I cry throughout the ENTIRE movie!

Steel Magnolias is definately my all time favorite chick flick! I cry everytime I see it!

For some reason I love the movie 'Picture Perfect' with Jennifer Aniston - definitely a chick flick, as well as 'My Best Friends Wedding'. Or how about the movie 'The Cutting Edge'. I'm trying to think of movies I own. Oh, just thought of another - the one with Marisa Tomei & Christian Slater, I can't remember the name of it...but it's a good one too.

Untamed Heart!!!!!

OMG this movie makes me cry every time. I love it!!!

It doesn't take much for me to start bawling when watching movies, but I must say
Steel Magnolias always gets me. I agree with lots of the ones that are already mentioned, but I'm going to take it back to the old school and throw in Pretty in Pink and St. Elmo's Fire.
Those are more chick flicks rather than tear jerkers.
