chihuahua for sale

I understand you are upset about giving him up, but maybe you should try to just adopt him out instead of trying to get money for him.
I wish I could take him but my dog is large and would end up hurting him.
If you got him from a breeder you can give him back, but my guess is you got him from a pet store since a breeder would have screened you and DH.

ITA, and most allergies are controllable with meds. Also using different soaps to bathe your pup or a new food can help too. Maybe talk to a vet before you give up your dog.

And selling the dog.......no offense but good luck with that. We have HUNDREDS of posts for people just trying to find good homes for dogs in shelters in danger of being euthanised.....

I would suggest two things:

1- seek more options to your problem with your DH allergies other than getting rid of your dog

2- maybe make sure that any future pets are acceptable to your lifestyle before bringing them home.

In my mind, there was nothing wrong with trying to recoup some of the money we spent on him. He was very expensive! It doesn't bother me that not everyone agrees with my decision.

We WENT to the doctor to try to make it work- you can't assume that we didn't try to make it work. We loved that dog and were heartbroken to have to give him up. Unfortunately, DH is not able to take any more meds b/c of a pre-existing medical situation. He is my #1 priority. The dog is in a very happy home now where I can visit him daily.

ugh....DO NOT get any more dogs, please

Oh please it's not like she is putting him in a pound, she is trying to find a good home for him. Give them a break. Some people don't always have allergies their whole lives. You sometimes get them with age. And maybe her hubby never owned a dog before.

Just stop and think maybe he has never had a pet before thats why he didnt know? I think if she paid for the dog why not get some money for him. Purebred dogs are expensive and if someone else wants him and is willing to pay for him why not?

Why should she lose a lot of money when it was something she could not have anticipated! I dont think someone would get a dog knowing there loved one was allergic. Things happen in life and who is anyone on here to critize her!
