Yes we are having them. IMO, I feel that they are people and part of the family too, so it never even crossed my mind not to have them.

The only kids are my nephews & niece (oldest will be 8 & the youngest will be 3). There is no way I can, nor would I want to keep them from the reception. FH & I agreed we want an adult reception and we are on a serious budget restraint (we are also buying a house w/in this next year) so we aren't even inviting some of our friends ADULT children.

I say yes...I love children and they look so cute in wedding photos and video, you get to remember them forever on your special day so little and cute! I am going to have a special kid table for them to have activities and stuff to do plus candy and stuff to take home just for them.

Yes- I was a mother of 2 when i got married (2 yr old and a 9 year old) ... Overall i had about 10 kids.. under the age of 10 and had absolutely no problems!

They enjoyed themselves just as much as the adults did

I get that some people dont want kids there and i am not bashing that-
But it also depends on WHO's wedding it is..
If my brother were to tell me that my children weren't allowed at his wedding.. i would be hurt by that- but in the same token would have to respect his wishes!

its an iffy situation...

IF you are to have a ring boy and flower girl..then that would be considered having children at the wedding??

So what's a few more..lol

Besides.. they come out soooo cute on video...
When my 2 year old walked down the aisle.. everyone started clapping.. he stopped in the middle.. looked around..and looked so lost- after a few seconds he met eyes with his dad standing in the front he got the BIGGEST coolaid smile on his face and got soo excited to see his daddy..it was the CUTEST thing.. i cant wait to see him in the video...lol cause apparently that's all i have been hearing about..

No, FH and I have HUGE families so it wasnt in the budget plus I wanted an adult affair.

we said no. the only children who will be at the wedding are my brothers kids. they will be 8, 6, & 3. the next youngest will be 15 & 16.

we said no because it would have been an additional 8 kids & that would of ending up costing $800, for them to eat chicken fingers & french fries. that was not going over well with my parents.

I had kids there. It was an evening wedding. I let the parents decide. here were no problems, they were adorable dancing and I love the pictures I got when I was dancing with them. I am so happy I didn't care. It causes way to much Drama to say no. JMO

We said yes only to our 7 Nieces and Nephews we said no to everyone elses children I didnt think it was fair to my siblings about there kids not coming also 3 of them are in the bridal pary...my siblings are going to send them all home early anyway.

Yes - they are an important part of my family and I can't imagine them not being there. I left it up to the parents to decide whether or not to bring them, and those invited were just my close family anyway (my younger first cousins and my older cousins kids that I'm close with). All in all, there will only be about 12 of them, so it's not a big deal - it's worth it to have them celebrate with everyone and be in the pics and video.

ETA: I'd rather pay for the kids that I love than not-so-close friends and other acquaintances anyway!

No. FSD (who will be 7 1/2 by that time) will be the only child at the wedding. Mostly my family does not have children and the one section that does has children who will all be 3 or under by the time of our wedding...I really don't want children that young there. I am willing to go out of my way to find them a babysitter so that they can still attend.

Its just not the atmosphere I want and FSD will be happier being the center of attention anyway.

Yes, FH has a few small cousins and we're having 1 as flower girl and 1 as ring bearer. It won't be too many kids, but didn't want to make them leave kids at home since they're family. For others though, I am not putting their kids on invite, but if they ask me if they can bring them, I will say yes.

Thanks everyone, im still saying i want no kids at my RH but lets see what DH says, cuz he wants his neice and nephew to go, and if i give in to his neice and nephew then it wouldnt be fair to say no to my guests children. BM already said if his daughter cant go then he wasnt attending! *** we'll see wht happens

Yes and no. We are only inviting the children 10 yrs+ I want them to be able to sit at a children's table and noone has to watch them. I'll be providing little things for them to do at the table. My RH offers a steep discount for the kids.

No, I think they get in the way, and take over the dance floor- changing the dynamic of the wedding. Besides that, my guest list is already 26 people...so I dont want it to increase. The only kids I am having is FH's children.

I didn't invite children on my side, which was all I can control. Children are being invited on FH's side, mainly because his parents are contributing to the RH. I really do not think it is appropriate for third cousins to be there, but whatever. I hope all the really young ones don't come.

Only immediate and close family members' children...which is a lot to begin with, but not that bad. Why? Because I absolutely could not imagine telling my niece or nephews that they couldn't be a part of my special day...I always loved attending weddings when I was a kid...

We will have FH neices and nephews. That's a grand total of 4 kids and 2 are my flower girls and the other little one is the ring bearer. The 4th kid is 8 or so. I think it would be nice for them to look back on those pics since they are a part of the family.

My other friends don't really have kids. The only one that does... I gave her the option of bringing him because I figured John's neices and nephew will be there.... but she didn't want to. She was like ARE YOU CRAZY?!?? I WANNA PARTY!!! Hahahaha!!!!

Other than that there aren't really any kids that are going to be there. I can't wait to see them though.... they are going to be sooooooo cute!!!
