Children 4 years and younger

Children 4 years and younger

I don't want any children four years or younger because i dont want guests bringing strollers that will be in the way and having small children crying during my reception and ceremony. Children 5 years and older are fine with me because their parents won't be bringing strollers and the children in fh's and my family are well behaved, it's just i have younger children and i know their parents will bring strollers and i just dont want it. So my question is how should i write this on my invites that children 4 years and younger are not allowed without me sounding mean or tacky.

address the outer envelope with the names of the kids that you do want there, and i would also let it get around word of mouth that under 4 are not allowed just in case .

It's tough because certain guests only have one child and that is the one that is younger than 4, so if i just put the adults names they may still assume that their children are invited also. Should i write something like 'Children 4 years and older are welcome to attend'? This is so tough!!

That's a tough one, If I were in your position, I would just have an adult reception. It's hard to put an age limit on something like that...

We had only our 3 FG's, and a 10 yr old at the wedding (she was siblings with one of the FG's).

For the rest of the guests, I addressed the outer envelope to the couple only - no kids names on it.

Or you can put on the bottom on the invite 'adult reception to follow'

99% of people get the hint, however you will still have one or 2 people respond with their kids.
