Children at Wedding....Please help

I have children that will be attending my wedding (including FG & Ring Bearer). I need to know what can I put in the bag so they can be occupy ? For example, candies....coloring book ....Also where can purchase them ?

Im having children too and doing an activity bag. Michael's has these $1 bins FILLED with acitivites, crayons, pencils and stuff. Also check .99 cent stores they have cutes activities too sometimes.
And I may do gift bags or small boxes with each kids name on it.

Im doing coloring book and crayons and not going too crazy cause sometimes I do see kids on the dance floor having fun too.

Go to the dollar tree. They have a ton of toys for kids. Get crayons and coloring books (they keep kids occupied forever). Maybe you can get a craft? Try looking on oriental trading- they have tons of crafts. Small figurines for girls, matchbox cars for boys... puzzles are good. The best things for a wedding are toys they can use while sitting down

you know what's funny. i had wanted to make the kids bags.. but i completely forgot..and i dont even think they even needed them!! We had my 2 nieces (my flowergirls) and 2 of my cousins brought their children all under 7 years old.. the kids were on the dance floor ALL night!! They had the best time dancing..

I went to Michaels too. We are doing a beachy theme and I found a ton of these little ornament things that the kids can color in with markers they had a lot of different shapes (little lobsters, light houses, snails etc..) they had other summer/spring ones too. They are very cute. I am planning on getting some dollar store toys and maybe some candy too. I am going to put it in a sand pail with their names on it.

I went to joann and purchase color activity sets for them. I told the RH to place them where on the table for them.

We're going to go to the dollar store and get lots of little goodies, plus some coloring books & crayons.

I would steer clear of any food though, unless you know the kids extremely well (like if they are your little siblings or something) because you don't want to be responsible for allergies/choking/upset little tummys.

Just walk into any drug store or target and you can buy all that stuff be carful dont buy markers the kids will be in good clothes and i know my sister if my niece gets dirty she freaks, the kids im having are my niece -3 nephew- he will 1 and half and mY FH cousin kids are 8 and 3 so im going to leave them up to buying everthing for hang out at RH my niece loves dancing so i dont think she will sit and color

First off how old are the kids?

I am going to have 6 kids at my wedding. They are my nieces and nephews.

I am a big advocate of spending a little money rather than go to the dollar store. I used to work at Toys R us and cant tell you how many moms complained that they threw away the stuff the kids got in gift bags because it was junky.

(please do not think for one second I am putting down the dollar store idea. I just want to bring a different perspective)

The FG is 4. I was at target and they had a build a bear kit for a mini bear for $15 or $20. My RB is 6 and Im going to get him Bacugons (spelling??) for $10-$15. I want to get them something new and exciting rather than just crayons (which I will get them and include in a bag). I will also stay away from Lego. That means mom and dad have to sit and help them build it and not enjoy the wedding.

So I am going to look at some things they like (im going to ask mom) so there is something else beside the coloring books.

HI at my e-party i had a seperate table with stickers, crayons, coloring books and other little games for the kids - i had like 6 kids there they played for a few minutes but then were so busy running around they didnt really play at the table anymore....

I would get them some Color Wonder by Crayola so they can color but it won't get on the linens or their outfits. It's markers that will only show up if they're used on teh special paper. You can get it pretty much anywhere they sell Crayola.

activity bag sounds like a good idea. So far i printed coloring books from DIYwedding.com under dowloads and bought crayons from dollar store.

depending on how old the kids are at the wedding, they will likely be dancing or running around. i like the bag idea, and I've been to weddings where the kids had them, and i didnt see any of them coloring or anything like that. There is so much excitement, that they too just wanna be on the dance floor and have fun, so i wouldnt stress too much about it.

I am going to do this too. But to be honest...I think we'll have 3 kids under 5... the others love parties, dancing and their portable PSP or DS...lol. I don't think it'll be an issue really.
