So FH and I are using text from a children's book as part of our vows/ceremony. We want to give the book out as a favor but it is very costly! Do you ladies have any ideas as to how I could either get the books for real cheap or how else i could incorporate the text into my wedding/favor? Thnks!!

Maybe put the text in a frame and give that. Or have it printed on something else instead of giving the whole book.

Well, Barnes and Noble has 18 that are used (but they all say good condition) and they are only 1.99. The site that I usually order children's books from does not have that title. I will keep looking for you, though. How much are you willing to spend pp? You can FM me, if you feel more comfortable.
I just checked Amazon, too and they have 55 used ranging in price...under 6 dollars.

Well, if they are in pretty good condition, I don't see why that would be weird...but I would definitely do what the other girls suggested...frame the text. If you write 'copyright' or 'by Martine Kindermans', that would be legal. Not to turn you against getting the book, but most guests (except me b/c i'm an elem. teacher) would probably rather have a frame. If they don't have children at home, it's kind of one of those favors that just get put on a shelf. JMO!!!

Usually any legal problems would only exist if you are publishing or selling it. If you are worried, you could always site it in a place that's hidden by the frame or on the back.

Re: Children's Book as favor...
you can get some of the text printed on chocolate the size of a business card and give that as a favor for $2.99 each
ooooooo....that sounds like a better idea in my opinion...honestly, i wouldn't want to get a children's book as a weding favor, nor get another frame, but the quote on a chocolate sounds good

this might sound bizarre but being that you have time.. why dont you try to contact the author (if he/she is still alive) tell them your story, who know what they would do!! if you cant get in contact with the author maybe try the publisher. good luck. this is a really cute idea!!!
