Lisa Rose,

I am planning on doing something similar. My flowergirl (niece) will be 4 1/2 and the ringbearer (nephew) will be 19 months.

Coloring Books

Not sure if you have seen me post about this before but we had personalized coloring books made up for our wedding--we are having 9 kids at the wedding--7 of whom are in the bridal party
They came out adorable and were really cheap

I think over 8 is too old. Just my opinion. *NM*

We are practically neighbors, we live in Yonkers. Just out of curiousity, have you checked Margaret Pike Studio, they are or were right next door to Mulligans. Maybe they offer that.

Coloring Books/Age

I know a few 9 years olds and I can't picture any of them being interested in a coloring book. 8 maybe...7 definitely

Coloring Books/Sketch Pad?

That's a really good idea. Why not write something at the bottom of a few pages saying what the picture is like 'Bride and Groom' 'Cake' 'Flowers' and other stuff they can focus on sketching. I use to love that when I was younger. Plus their rendition of what you and your husband look like on your wedding day might be really cute. Then they can of course draw their own ideas too.

I know it's too early to tell, but I know me pretty well I think. And I have the feeling I would love to see my flowers in advance. Partly out of excitement and partly just to check on things. That's just how I am, always checking over things. I was just thinking this week how I wish I could check on the tables after they are set up before the reception moves upstairs from the cocktail hour. I guess I'll just have to accept that some things I won't get to see beforehand.
