Re: China Pattern!

we werent sure if we wanted to register for formal china, and then we fell in love with Lenox Venetian Lace. It has a simple criss cross lace pattern on most of the pieces, and the accent pieces have a really pretty lace design. I love it! Only wish it came with more pieces (some china sets have a million accent pieces that go along with it, ours just has a few)

It's hard to see the design in pictures so here are a few closeups of screen shots:

FH actually loves our china too, and got so excited when we used it (only once so far).

here are some of us using it, better to see the pattern:

Is that chicken marsala? That's my favorite. Now I'm craving it.

You're so lucky you can use yours. I had my engagement party back in Oct and I got most of my china, but my mom won't let me use it until we have the bridal shower, something about it being tradition in our family. So my mom is holding on to all our china.

Just registered this past weekend. Mikasa Parchment for fine china with Lenox encore stemware. I chose Portmieron for our everyday dishes, but I don't think either FH or I are in love...we've looked really hard, just haven't found anything else. I hate those odd sized bowls, mugs, etc.

I use this recipe:

http://www.cookingforengineers.com/recipe/59/Chicken--Mushroom-Marsala

the first time i made it FH said it was so amazing that he wanted to invite his parents over for dinner and he wanted me to make it for them.

The only thing I do differently is I usually make more than 3 breasts of chicken, double the mushrooms (we love mushrooms) and then make extra sauce afterwards because I like to prepare it with fettucine and want sauce to drizzle on the pasta. (the recipe doesnt make lots of extra sauce)

the brining really does make the chicken very juicy + it's a pretty easy recipe

Oh thank you. The sauce is my favorite. Sometimes I tell them to hold the chicken and just put it over pasta. I love it with bowtie pasta, yummy. Thank you again. I can't wait to make it.

We inherited China from FH's grandma. I believe it is Noritake.
