Did most of you go for the 'fine china' or the casual kind...Im so lost.

One set of fine china (usually service for 12 but more if you have a big family) and one more casual everyday set-you can do stone ware or something else more casual- I also getting service for 12 in everyday ware

I didn't really want it at first either but realistically when you get older you may want to have dinner parties-like have your boss or coworkers/clients over for dinner and you will need a nice set and will not want to pay for it then...

I am getting lenox china called library lane-it is a kate spade design. I will try to find a pic online

Re: China Patterns

FH picked our China. Lenox, Opal Innocence

we might also mix in some Opal Innocence Lace (a new pattern, cant find a pic)

for our everyday dishes we are registering for Fiesta Ware in a bunch of different colors. i like that i dont have to worry about having a set, in case a few break and we can keep adding colors and accessories.
a few of my favorite colors:
cobolt

peacock

persimmon

heather

sunflower

Re: China Patterns

We chose Waterford Ballet Ribbon as our fancy china. Our everyday china is cobalt fiestaware (which FMIL won 12 place settings of at a card party at the school she works in!).

Re: China Patterns

This is ours. It is a Wedgwood pattern, but we're actually not worried about the issues that the company is having. I think it will work out.
