If I was going to register for china (which I am 95% sure I'm not) - yours was on the top of my list! Great taste. Your situation is probably why I won't. It's a lot of $ that I'd love to use for other things. And knowing me, I'll break something and feel horrible. I always get nervous when I use my sister's $$$$$$$$$ wine glasses.

I am going to get nice everyday dishes and then pick up accent pieces that I can mix in at Anthropologie, other stores or antique./vintage places.

To sum it up - take it back and buy yourself something pretty!

No no, but someone said they saw it at the outlet, so I thought maybe I could get it discounted?

I voted keep it! One, you may still receive it as a wedding gift, I received 6 settings of Lenox flatware as a wedding gift from a guest who was unable to attend. Two, you can always catch a great deal at the Lenox oulets or website and finish the set yourself, if you really love it.

no, sometimes they have the current china at the outlets, even if they're not discontinued. Sign up for the lenox mailing list, you can opt for them to let you know when your china is being discontinued. That would be a good time to buy a bunch of your place settings. You can also ask family/friends to get it for you for other occasions (anniversaries, birthdays). If this is something you really want I wouldn't return the 3 settings you already received.

I think most of the china at the outlets isn't necessarily discontinued. They usually have 1st and 2nd quality patterns at different prices. 2nd quality being discounted a lot more because there is probably a slight flaw in the pattern that the naked eye can't see . I have several Lenox pieces that I purchased from the outlets at GREAT deals. I think that if you call them they could tell you what price it is selling for now and maybe put you on a mailing list for there next sale.

It depends... if you desperately need other things and can only afford them by returning these, I'd return these.

Otherwise, I'd say buy one more place setting and make it a set of 4 for now (or wait to see if you get it as a wedding gift). You probably wont be having huge dinner parties very often, and if you do you can use your everyday dishes.

Your dishes are pretty and fun, and you can still use them regularly for ordinary dinners. You could even get by with a set of 2, but I think 4 is a little more practical.

You might get more place settings as wedding gifts, or as holiday gifts down the road, but IMO a full set is nice but not entirely necessary right now. I'd only say buy the rest if you find an awesome sale or the pattern is being discontinued.
