Did anyone notice their China prices went up??? I just looked at my Fortunoff registry and my Wedgewood St. Moritz pattern went from $89.99 to $140.00
What the HECK is that about???

Mine too! I just looked after I read your post. I have Wedgewood china also and it went from $110 to $160!

That is so funny! I was just telling everyone how upset I was when I just checked and my china went up!! I am glad I am not the only one who thought it was CRAZY! I guess it is the new year but it stinks!

Don't worry!! FH noticed the same problem yesterday - we spoke to someone at Fortunoff's and they said they are having computer problems (I think something to do with the UPC codes with the new year) - the prices have not changed. We thought our place setting went from $90 to $140 and we freaked out!! THey told me it would be fixed today. We'll see.....

oh my mine did too it was 99 with bonus and now its 143 with bonus im never going to get my china when its that much money

I just went on the lenox website and their prices are now cheaper then fortunoff. Their prices are actually what the fortunoff price used to be.

Just called fortunoff. They said effective 1/1/05 Lenox raised the prices. They assured me everywhere else it would be that high too

Is that true about the lenox? My place settings went up $44 on fortunoff. AHHH! I just got 2 for xmas, I'm glad they bought it before the price hike. had I known I would have told people to just buy me my lenox!!!!
ETA: I don't think it's true thqt leno raises the prices, Fortunoff is shwing MSRP as thier price, rather than their usual price that's 30-50% off MSRP. It must be a computer error, unless they';re suddenly selling it at msrp, which I doubt, if lenox themselves are selling it for less!

i just called fortunoff and was told that some of the manufacturers raised their prices --(that it is not fortunoff) --lenox and royal doulton are two of them...our casual royal doulton china went up $22/place setting...
i am going to see how much other stores are selling it for...

i just called the westbury store again and now this person said that yes, some maufacturers did raise their prices but they are also having computer issues where they are showing the msrp and not fortunoff's discounted prices --she said it should be fixed soon...

I called as well and the woman explained that my wedgwood pattern used to be on sale but is no longer and hence the increase in price. I told her I would be switching the china to another registry.

I just checked mine as well & my Wedgwood Icing setting went from 109 to 165! That is crazy!
