Ok...we registered for everyday Pfaltzgraff dishes and had planned in inheriting my grandmas' china until I saw that it had flowers all over it (he wants nothing to do with floral on anything).....my question is as follows: How many of you girls ACTUALLY picked out china AND everyday dishes....IF we did pick china, it would be VERY simple....just curious to see what other LI girls are doing....THANKS

Re: China question
I registered and received both everyday dishes and china. Not everyone finds it necessary to register for both, but I figured, if I didn't register for it, I would never buy it for myself.
we picked out everyday and formal china. the everyday dishes are from pfaltzgraff:
and our formal china is from mikasa:
my fh and i could not agree on anything! but we finally compromised, he picked out the everyday and i picked out the formal.
etd to say: sorry i dont know why so big!

Re: China question
Very nice girls.....looks like simple is the way to go...our Pfaltzgraff is so new that only Macy's Roosevelt Field had it...no pics online yet!! I will post when I find it.
I registered for Lenox's Opal innocence, we didnt regsiter for everyday china, we probably should, but i doubt we'll get everything on our registery and I want the formal china more. I will most likely buy everyday china after the wedding.

Re: China question
We are probably going to have this as our formal china
and a much simpler set for everyday - probably a set from Crate and Barrel or Pottery Barn.
Although - i woudlnt mind using the above as my everyday - I just would be too afraid to break them.

Re: China question
I registered for both everyday and formal china and got all my everyday pieces for my shower and 11/12 formal placesettings. Here are the Villeroy & Boch Switch 3 for everyday
For everyday, we are registered for fiestaware, however our minds could change . . .

Re: China question
We registered only for casual china and everyday dishes.
These are the everyday dishes we picked, although the difference in the two-toned colors is far more subtle than it appears in the picture. Nautica
This is the casual china. We got 6 sets of black and 6 of white, and our stemware is Block Kaleidoscope, so I think that the colors of the stemware will look really great with the black/white. White Black
