Chinese Reception Venues in Queens - Help!

Hi all,

I'm not a bride (the groom) but wanted to post this here too and see if anyone can help! Anyway, I'm a new user to the boards and was researching wedding reception restaurants in Flushing, NY. My fiancee and I have read some reviews about East Manor in Elmhurst, East Manor in Kissena Blvd, and Gala Manor. My question is, has anyone ever had their wedding or attended a wedding at one of those venues? We can't seem to decide which is better; any input would be appreciated. If you have pictures to share of these venues, please do share! It would help us a lot!

Thank you so much!

Re: Chinese Reception Venues in Queens - Help!

i sorta answered your post in the chinese bride thread. i've visited gala manor and east manor on kissena. honestly i like the decor of east manor better and i've heard the food is better there. i've had dim sum at gala manor and the food was ok. nothing spectacular...meaning i've had better. i didn't take pictures, but another appeal of east manor is that there are no stairs leading to the entrance. for some reason most of these places in queens have a flight of stairs to even get into the main restaurant area. very strange. we have a lot of older and disabled folks who probably wouldn't be able to negotiate those stairs. however, gala manor has an elevator located a few yards away that takes you inside. for east manor, you just walk straight in. fm me if you need more info.
