Since we're having an American reception, FH and I decided to have a mini-Chinese banquet for RD. Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants in the Queens area?
So far.....we're considering Gala Manor and East Manor. Any other suggestions???

Are you willing to go to Flushing? We had our rehearsla dinner at Ocean Jewels restaurant. We also considered Linden Place. My aunt and uncle had their 25th anniversary party there. The decor at Ocean Jewels is traditional, whereas Linden's is lavish. Food at both is good.

I've ate at Ocean Jewels before. The food is really good! I've never been to Linden Place.......but I will check it out.

ooh, i'm interested in this as well. i live in westchester and FH lives in valley stream. need to find a restaurant in queens for chinese banquet/rehearsal dinner. any other suggestions? does anyone know how much per head/per table they're charging?

In terms of food, I think East manor is the best...the one on Kissena Blvd is better than the one on main street, Flushing.

Good question! I'm really hoping our moms can talk w/ the Chinese managers for price negotiation. It's easier to find out details in Chinese.

My friend got married at Manor East and the food was good ( my first experience with Chinese banquet) and I like it

I think Gala Manor and East Manor on Kissena are your best bets. There is also East in Elmhurst and that has gained popularity over the years. They have an outdoor terrace area now and some private rooms upstairs.

i'm going to have my mom do some research for me. how far in advance should this be booked? do you think it'll fill up quickly? i still have 8 months til the wedding!

there is a great place i think its in bensonhurst with a separate party room i think its on 86th street
