Chocolate fountain???

Should I get one?? I called my hall and they offer it for an additional $500. Is it really worth it, will anyone miss it?????

My FFIL thinks I am just blowing my money away, but he thinks that about the whole wedding.

$500 is cheap! Most places charge $700 - $1,000 andId still say it was worth it!

I think for me it's $500 plus $1pp/product.

I would love to have it.... but $500 is just too much for a bit of fondue that I probably won't have time to enjoy.

Im not going to have it... im hoping people will be having too much fun dancing and partying to even notice that dessert is served... at the last wedding i was at the Viennese hour completely killed the wedding... everyone just started leaving once they announced it...

Yeah, I just couldn't fall asleep last night. Don't know what was wrong with me. Hopefully, this isn't the beginning of an insomnia bout...

I think you'll enjoy having it. How can dipping things in chocolate not be fun!

Hey Ally! I think it is worth it. The last wedding my dad went to there was a huge line just for the chocolate fountain and everyone would not stop talking about it. Everything I have heard in the brides review has been wonderful.

The chocolate fountain is great. We are going to have one but I think I want to get the white chocolate instead. I tried it a the showcase at the Watermill and it was great.

The only problem with that is, most people do not like white chocolate.

Re: Chocolate fountain???

if you are getting it, ask how long it is out for... we went to a wedding and it was super yummy but it was barely out even a half hour- so 500- or more for about a half hour was not worth it imo

My hall threw it in but $500 is a lot for some chocolate...can't you rent it from somewhere for a lot less????

Re: Chocolate fountain???

My hall left it out for about an hour.

If you are going to do it request that your hall put it on a round table where peoplecan walk around it - then theres no line. Mine also set up dippings on the same table. It was perfect!

Dumb question here: Do people really need an hour to eat dessert? I know it sounds like a really dumb question, I am just curious.

a longer amount of time would be helpful especially if a lot of people are lined up for it!
