chocolate fountain

Those of you who are using or have previously used a chocolate fountain.....

did you get it thru your catering hall or an outside vendor, and how much did they charge you?

my ch just got their own, so they say I have to use theirs if I want one, and the price seems

We'll be getting our chocolate fountain through the hall (they get it from an outside vendor). For up to 150 people, it's $500. For up to 200 people, it's $600. This includes the chocolate and the condiments - fruit, cake, wafers, pretzels, etc.

We are having one. My RH threw it in for us so I can't be of help price-wise. But I know that several brides have used outside companies and got better prices than their RH.

My mom really wanted it so we did it - I think many halls 'throw it in' but ours was $3 pp includes the choice of 5 dipping things

I'm using Hampoton Chocolate Fountains...OFC doesn't have one...

It IS a little pricey but something I love so I am going all out...3 fountains, 1 white, milk, dark. It's going to run me about 1200.00. They give you 6 dipping items which you choose and it comes with an attendant.

My dad negotiated that in with our contract, but I've heard it go for around $750 at other places.

my hall told me it would be $5 a head so i was like EFF THAT!!! lol and i haggled them until they included it in the contract.

call me a biatch but whatever i'm not paying 5 bucks for freaking chocolate and the only reason it was such a big deal to have was b/c it was the ONLY request my FH had-- he just wanted that darn fountain lol so i was determined to get it.

OMG!!!

My rh wants me to pay $1100 for it...and I already have over 200 guests, added viennese and an extra hour to my reception!

ooooohhh...now I'm MAD!
