Chocolate Wedding Cake??

Is anyone having a chocolate wedding cake? Is this ever done? I have never seen one myself, but I was just wondering if it was ever done.

My savior Matron of Honor had this to say:

Chocolate Wedding Cake??

Hi!! Go for it. I have had chocolate cakes at weddings. Who says it has to be a white cake. I prefer a chocolate cake. If that is what you like go for it.

Devils Food w/Fudge Filling - YUM!

That's ours! : )

Decorated with ivory icing.....they say the chocolate won't show through like it does when I ice my chocolate cakes w/vanilla icing. LOL!!!

We're also serving another dessert - fresh berries and cream so if folks don't want the chocolate they have an option (and the Milleridge also puts butter cookies on the table)

Chocolate Wedding Cake??

I am having the typical vanilla/white whip cream cake, but my fiance is a drummer and sooo, I'm having a stack of drums made in the color of his (probably just 3 on top of the other getting smaller as they go upward). It will be chocolate cake! yummmmmmmmmm. This way, we can serve both. I'm not making this groom's cake huge, maybe only 2 tiers, not 3, but I know he'll love it. Good luck. You can have whatever cake you want!

Cakes at Milleridge

Hi Karen,

I'm also getting married at Milleridge and wanted to know how you went about ordering your cake. Can you have any combination of cake/filling that you want or do they have a set list? Also, when did you order your cake?

Thanks for your help. (And best of luck on your wedding day!! I'm sure it will be spectacular!)

Chocolate Wedding Cake??

I say go for it.

My best friend had a chocolate dipped, chocolate wedding cake, with chocolate filling. It was great, and everyone commented on the fact that it wasn't the usual white/buttercream cake.

Cakes at Milleridge

Thanks. :-)

I placed my map inside the inside the reception card and the reception card goes closest to the invitation. If you don't have reception card, place the response just on top of the envelope and then place that on top of invitation. Map can go behind reply envelope so that it is the first part touching the invitation.

YES! Karen and Sharon, BEST OF LUCK!!! We're all very excited for you!!!
