Chocolate Wedding Cakes! (w/ chocolate on the outside)

Anyone having a wedding cake with chocolate fondant? When looking at cakes with FH this weekend (we are not using the cake our hall provides), FH fell in LOVE with the chocolate ones. I agreed to it -- I felt bad because it was one of the only things he has taken an interest in throughout the planning process!!!

Sooo, what do you all think of a chocolate fondant cake with white lace scrollwork and white sparkly sugar flowers on the top?

The inside will be a layer of vanilla cake, cannoli filling, layer of chocolate cake, chocolate pudding, and a layer of vanilla cake.

Would you be put off by its 'un-traditional' wedding cake look on the outside??? Every other bride I have told about this is like 'wow, that's daring, I would never do it, but it sounds good'..... Is it 'bad luck' or something to have a chocolate wedding cake?

I love the idea! I love chocolate! Chocolate ganache is a darker chocolate fudge-like smooth coating over the cake and much better tasting than fondant!

put-off? Not at all! I think it's original and different and HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG WITH CHOCOLATE

Have fun with it and don't worry about what anyone else thinks!!

My FI's one & ONLY request was CHOCOLATE CAKE...I was in total agreement but had to give him the 'O.K..if you reeeeally want it' you know,just to make him feel like it was his idea

I love chocolate!!!! I'm getting a chocolate cake with buttercream icing and filling. It's simple, but delicious!!!! If I could convince my FI to have chocolate icing too I would!!!
